My name is Deonna, and this is my testimony.

There was a time in my life when I believed I was strong on my own, but inwardly I was broken, searching for identity, purpose, and peace in places that could never satisfy me. I carried heartbreak, confusion, and spiritual distance from God, even while believing I knew Him.

In that season, God began to confront my heart. Not to condemn me — but to call me to repentance, surrender, and truth. I came to understand that I did not need another version of myself; I needed Jesus Christ.

Through Scripture, conviction, and prayer, I learned that healing does not come from self-discovery, but from dying to self and being made new in Christ. What I once viewed as God “breaking” me was actually His mercy — removing what did not reflect Him and drawing me back to Himself.

Today, my life is rooted in Jesus Christ. My identity is no longer built on who I was, what I endured, or what I achieved, but on who He is and what He has done.
